Abstract

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a new infectious disease which was first described in 1983. Since then, it has gained enormous attention in the medical community as well as in public, and it was probably the mostly discussed disease over the last decade. I therefore assume that the clinical symptoms and the time course are widely known.
