Abstract

A factorial ANOVA, including a two-way or three-way ANOVA, is an ANOVA that includes more than one factor or independent variable. Thus, a factorial ANOVA can be used when two or more groups will be compared, for two or more independent variables. Note. A factorial ANOVA is used when there is only one dependent variable. Interval values for the dependent variable is required. The assumption of normality is not important for minor violation. Equal variances are required for all groups, with violations a problem for unequal sample sizes across groups.
