Abstract
The occurrence of a short circuit and disconnection of the stator cause a vast loss to the whole system. Also, various vibration sensors, noise sensors, etc., are used for fault diagnosis, but there is a difficulty in the application of these methods because the structure and circuits of the system must be redesigned, and there is a high level of dependence on diagnosis by long experience. For such reasons, studies on MESA are being performed, sensorless methods. Among MESA methods, the MCSA method has been used for fault diagnosis of the stator of an induction motor and its effectiveness was proven. Since the efficiency of a three-phase induction motor is not high, there is a difficulty in detecting the inter-turn short circuit of a stator. Therefore, this study suggested a tool that can diagnose 2-turn short circuit, inter-turn short circuit, through the relationship between self-inductance and mutual inductance in the synchronous reference frame of a D-Q transformation—the relationship according to turn-to-turn short.
