Abstract

Public service work is changing and the chapters gathered here highlight the different elements of change and the ways in which the workforce can adapt. For some of these changes there are multiple examples of adaption—for example in relation to support for emotional labor—whereas for others, such as improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace, it is much harder to identify examples of success.
