Abstract

Routing in Mobile ad-hoc networks is carried by the routing protocols. Initially route discovery mechanism floods the network with RREQ packets. Due to mobility of nodes in mobile ad-hoc networks, routing protocol do not consider quality of service (QoS) as an important factor for routing. In order achieve reliability, multi-path routing can be used as an alternative. In this paper priority factor has been exploited during the route discovery process to build the multi-path routing protocol. Multi-path priority based route discovery (MPRD) mechanism has been proposed and the algorithm has been analyzed by taking the network of some nodes.
