Abstract

This chapter is devoted to introducing two-agent scheduling and due date-related scheduling. We present the basic concepts and notation in the two research, and present some commonly used scheduling rules. This chapter is composed of four sections. In Sects. 1.1 and 1.2, we present the basic concepts and notation related to two-agent scheduling and due date-related scheduling, respectively. In Sect. 1.3, we introduce some common scheduling rules. We end the chapter in Sect. 1.4 with bibliographic remarks.
