Abstract
The Japanese Society of Perinatal and Neonatal Medicine established the Neonatal Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (NCPR) workshop in 2007. It is considered that objective reviews and self-training in basic skills workshops are effective. However, instructors are essential for current training, so it is difficult to do self-training. Even if there is an instructor, subjective evaluation and oral instructions are mainstream. In this study, we focused on chest compression as a basic technique in neonatal resuscitation. We have developed a self-training system for the workers aimed at keeping skills and demonstrated the effect of the proposed method from the experiment. From interview results, we revealed that additional functions such as recoil and artificial respiration were required.
