Abstract
The electrochemical reduction of oxygen and the evolution of oxygen are two important electrode reactions that have been extensively studied to develop electrochemical energy conversion and storage techniques based on oxygen electrocatalysis. The exploitation of inexpensive, highly active and durable non-precious metal-based oxygen electrocatalyst is essential for emerging energy technologies, including anion exchange membrane fuel cells, metal-air batteries (MABs), water electrolyzers, etc.
