Abstract

The development of large systems more and more often requires the interaction of different parts of software written in different languages.

The following paper analyses this aspect of Ada describing the different methods which can be used to accomplish this difficult task. Some of those methods have been successfully experimented with during the development of a large safety-related system. The advantages and disadvantages of the various approaches will also be outlined.
