Abstract

It is important to understand the deformation behaviors of a fast breeder reactor(FBR) core in the aspects of safety and economy. However, it is a problem how to attain computational efficiency, since the analysis model is large and complicated including nonlinear characteristics. To solve this problem, we started to develop a special purpose program "PRECISE" by using parallel algorithm. As the first step we constructed the basic framework of the program based on the beam element and verified its computational efficiency.
