Abstract
Global Cosmopolitans often mention Homer’s epic poem the Odyssey when talking about their voyage. The Odyssey is typically referred to as a ten-year struggle to go home, with its eponymous hero, Odysseus, facing numerous trials and tribulations as he attempts to return to Ithaca from Troy. Some see the story as a metaphor for life itself: man’s journey from birth to death.
