Abstract
Various statistics reflect a worldwide continuous increase in ownership and use of computers and computer-related communication tools with almost 361 million Internet users worldwide (Internet World Stats 2011). With their growing economies, the Gulf Council Countries are not very different with regard to technology use and advancement compared to other regions in the world. On the contrary, in light of the visionary leadership in the region, the development and change pertaining to technological readiness, infrastructure, and utilization of technology is quite impressive. A good example is the United Arab Emirates where it was reported that 69 percent of the population in 2011 were Internet users (Internet World Stats 2011).
