Definition

Sets of typically overlapping clawlike or curved ridged deposits on Mars interpreted to be formed by retreating cold-based glaciers.

Description

“Multiple laterally extensive, arcuate and parallel ridges on both well-preserved lava flows and (Head and Marchant 2003). Ridges are ~100–250 m wide. They form broad, clawlike (Garvin et al. 2006) or arcuate, or linear ridges (Figs. 1, 2, and 3), occurring in parallel and overlapping loops (Kreslavsky and Head 2011).
