Definitions

Bisexual:

Sexual attraction to two or more genders

Cisgender:

A cisgender person is a person whose gender identity and sex assigned at birth are in alignment

Gay:

A man or man-aligned person who is attracted only to men or men-aligned people

Gender identity:

A perception and presentation of one’s own gender

Gender inclusion:

Equity, fairness, and representation of all genders

Gender nonconforming:

A gender nonconforming person is a person whose gender identity and/or expression is not typical according to mainstream gender norms. A gender nonconforming person is not necessarily a transgender or gender variant person

Gender variance:

A synonym for gender nonconforming, a gender variant person is one whose gender identity or expression does not conform to traditional gender norms
