Zusammenfassung

Die Homöostase der Elektrolyte Kalzium, Magnesium und Phosphat werden – unter anderem – durch die Nierenfunktion bestimmt und Serumkonzentrationen sind bei Störungen dieser verändert. Kalzium und Phosphat werden wesentlich unter Beeinflussung endokriner Prozesse der Nieren-Nebenschilddrüsen-Knochen-Achse reguliert. Diese Elektrolyte inklusive des Magnesium sind zudem an der sog. „mineral bone disease“, die im Rahmen chronischer Nierenschädigung auftritt, wesentlich beteiligt.
