This trematode species has a similar life cycle like Heterophyes species. It occurs in Thailand and uses dogs, cats, and fish-feeding birds. The adult worms reach only a size of 0.5 × 0.2 mm but may occur in masses. Intermediate hosts are snails of the genus Thiara and fishes of the mugilid group.
