Zusammenfassung

Soziale Medien spielen zunehmend auch im Bereich des Lernens eine wesentliche Rolle. Viele Lernende nutzen soziale Medien und Plattformen wie Wikipedia alltäglich zum informellen Alltagslernen. Allerdings werden auch in formellen Lernumgebungen häufig Elemente sozialer Medien wie Wikis und Blogs eingesetzt. Zu beachten ist, dass sozio-kognitive Verzerrungen die Qualität des in sozialen Medien verfügbaren Wissens beeinflussen können und dass es beim Lernen in sozialen Medien unter bestimmten Umständen zu unerwünschten so genannten Echokammer-Effekten kommen kann.
