Abstract
Non-paraneoplastic autoimmune retinopathy (AIR) typically presents in middle-aged females with vision loss, visual field loss, electroretinography (ERG) changes, and positive anti-retinal antibody testing, often in the context of an unremarkable fundus examination. Fundus autofluorescence (FAF) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) may be helpful ancillary tests in AIR. Evaluation for underlying malignancy with the patient’s primary care provider is essential to rule out a paraneoplastic retinopathy.
