Summary

The dependence of the thickness of water films on silicate surfaces upon disjoining pressure was investigated. While observing the flow of films their properties have been studied. The theory of the film flow has been developed, using the disjoining pressure isotherms. It has been established that the structural variations of water play a preponderant role in the stability of thinα-films, and the ionic-electrostatic forces in the stability ofβ-films.
