Electric-octupole5Li inelastic transfer in27Al+32S collision atE inc=100 MeV

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

The differential cross-section of the excitation of the first 3 level of32S atE *=5.01 MeV in the27Al+32S collision atE inc=100 MeV was measured down to σin⋍10−2mb/sr. Backward oscillations are interpreted as interference with five-nucleon transfer. The analysis of the data is performed in the frame of EFR-DWBA. The deducedB(E3) ↑ value is in good agreement with that measured by other authors in the inverse transition. By phase analysis of the oscillations, the transfer seems to take place in more-than-one-step mechanism.
