Abstract

In the previous Chap. IV we have analyzed Poincaré-Dulac normal forms in the presence of nonlinear symmetries. In the present chapter, we show how this theory extends to the framework of Hamiltonian systems. Thus, we will be considering a Hamiltonian H which admits a symmetry S, and see how this symmetry property influences the Birkhoff-Gustavson normal form of H.
