Abstract
Non-monotonic changes of the accelerated particle spectral index and a decreasing particle density jump at the shock are shown to occur in relativistic shock waves with oblique magnetic fields for increasing amplitude of magnetic field perturbations. Very steep particle energy spectra can be produced at such shocks.
