The kinematics of red supergiants in 30 Dor and Shapley II: What for ?

Abstract

We studied stellar and interstellar data of two regions of the Large Magellanic Cloud, 30 Dor and Shapley II area. We observed the splitting of the gas into a number of separate layers. Stars are generally associated with the low-velocity component, which is behind the high-velocity component.
