Abstract
This work describes using Xilinx fpgas to validate designs for ΣΔ modulators. The modulator designs are generated by a specialized software tool dedicated to automatically generating VHDL descriptions of each modulator design.
In this paper parameterized VHDL models of different modulator structures are presented. The path from VHDL to Xilinx is shown and an example 2nd order modulator, implemented on a Xilinx fpga is presented.
