Abstract

Throughout the book, a variable with a boldface type will be used to denote a matrix or vector, the latter always assumed to be in column format. Random variables are denoted by upper case letters whereas the values that these variables assume are denoted by lower case letters. Finally, p(·) is used to denote a PDF, P(·) is used to denote a CDF, and Ψ(·) is used to denote a CF.
