In this section we discuss, for multivariate survival data, a number of censoring schemes that are more complex than right censoring. A variety of inferential techniques have been proposed to analyse such complex data sets. For some of the censoring schemes frailty models have been studied. Based on examples we explain how one arrives at different censoring schemes and we give references for further reading.
