Abstract

We start with the construction of linear programming models and the geometric solution of problems in two variables. We move into higher dimension and introduce slack and surplus variables and standard form. Pivoting is then applied to linear programming problems. After the simplex method is introduced, we conclude with the two-phase simplex method.
