Abstract

In previous chapters we have described how to create databases, create table structures within them and insert data records into these fields. While this is useful it does not fully illustrate the power of the database. In this chapter we explore how PHP can be used to access, display and modify database records via a Web page. This technology is the building block for the majority of dynamic Web applications, in particular e-commerce systems.
