Abstract
This chapter introduces the reader to methods of solving unusual elasticity problems using the PDEtoolbox. Problems such as stress concentrations on cracked plates, ductile iron nodules effect on stress distribution and microstructure effects on stress are investigated. The possibility of using the PDEtoolbox in microstructure modeling makes it a versatile resource in materials modeling.
