Abstract

Choroid plexus tumors are rare tumors, predominantly found in pediatric patients. Lower grade tumors histologically resemble native choroid plexus while higher grade lesions are progressively more disordered and less differentiated. They are commonly associated with hydrocephalus and usually present with symptoms of that condition. Complete resection is typically curative in the case of low grade lesions. Higher grade lesions may be treated with adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The hydrocephalus often resolves but in some cases may persist after resection and may require additional treatment.
