Abstract
First of all we shall consider the kinds of radiations to which we are exposed. Every one of us is subjected to the effect of unavoidable “natural” radiation, to which is then added radiation of medical origin. This latter is more or less avoidable. The natural radiation to which we are exposed averages about 0.13 rad per year.
