Abstract
The division of a dividend D by a divisor d resulting in a quotient q and a remainder r has to be performed in accordance with the following algorism
The division of two binary numbers has been, for some time, the most difficult of the four fundamental mathematical operations to implement in hardware. This originates, in my opinion, from the fact that the division algorism is more difficult to understand than the multiplication algorism.
