Abstract

The objective of this paper is to present an appreciation of the standards of the current building codes of practice and specifications that are generally used in Bahrain and to show how they developed. It will also highlight their good points and weaknesses. The writer will also suggest improvements and proposals for future development.

The contents of this paper reflect the writer’s opinion only and do not necessarily represent any opinion of the Ministry of Housing in Bahrain.
