Abstract

If you apply for a job in a large concern your application will be received and considered by staff in the Personnel Department. The first representative of the business you are likely to meet will be a Personnel Officer. Yet, recruitment and selection are but one of the tasks undertaken by the personnel staff as you will see from Figure 6.1 below:
