Further Reading

  • Sensitive studies of adolescence are to be found in two novels by great writers of the twentieth century: Le Grand Meaulnes, by Alain-Fournier, and Le Blé En Herbe, by Colette. For a more amusing and more up to date look at youth, try Les Mouvements de Mode, by Hector Obalk, Alain Soral and Alexandre Pasche, published by Livre de Poche. This is a light-hearted survey of pop and fashion, and analyses both trends and young people’s attitudes.
