Abstract
Most work on the pest management of deepwater rice has been carried out in Asia, and early concepts and current pest status in Asia’s deepwater rice were reviewed by Catling et al. (1988b). The pest and disease situation in West Africa is different from that in Asia and is treated in a separate section of this chapter.
