Structural Detailing

Part of the book series: Macmillan Building and Surveying Series ((BASS))

Abstract

Timber has been used structurally longer than any other material. In recent years it has become popular as the prefabricated carcase of houses — a popularity that has waned for a variety of reasons, although not the fault of the wood itself.
