Abstract

There are a number of organisations around the world that have been established as professional VM societies to perpetuate VM in their respective countries. The original organisation, set up in VM’s country of origin, is the Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE). This was established in 1958 and has since grown into a professional organisation with over a thousand members and is seen as the body which sets the standards for VM in the USA.
