  • understand the nature of debates about the changing nature of immigration legislation and the impact of this on ethnic minorities;

  • be aware of the impact of inequality in relation to employment and unemployment as it affects ethnic minorities;

  • understand the continuing impact of racism and racial prejudice on the life chances and social situation of ethnic minorities in Britain;

  • have practised structured exam questions.
