Abstract

So far we have examined the balance sheets and methods of operation of the various kinds of deposit bank. In this chapter we go on to consider the working of the deposit banking system as a whole. We shall have to look at many of the points treated in conventional banking theory, although we shall not be approaching them in an altogether conventional way.
