Abstract

To pretend that having parents on the wards, sharing in the care of their sick child, has no problems is to be unrealistic. It is my belief that the reason there are still hospitals in this country that do not include parents in all aspects of their children’s care is often purely because of these very problems — both imagined and experienced.
