Abstract

The 12th Pugwash Workshop on Nuclear Forces was held in Geneva, Switzerland on 25 and 26 May 1985• Participants in the Workshop comprised 34 scientists and public and military figures from 18 countries. This meeting continued a series that began in January 1980 with an initial focus on European and intermediate-range nuclear forces; the current focus is on nuclear arms control more generally, including defence, the prospect of the weaponisation of space, and the relation of nuclear to conventional forces.
