Abstract
What’s the difference between love and prostitution? If the question was posed to those whose economic philosophy has shaped American politics in the 1980s, the answer would be that prostitution is a valuable commodity, while love is worthless (you see, people are willing to pay for prostitution). This philosophy behind the recent swing to the right is known as conservative economics.
