Abstract

In a repairable system it is necessary to hold spare units in stock so that replacements can be made when necessary. Thus, an important part in the planning of system maintenance is the estimation of the number and distribution of repair centres, the number of repairmen stationed at each repair centre and the repair stock which should be held.
