Subroutines

Abstract

As programs tend to get longer there may be several lines of the program that are needed more than once. It is not necessary to keep typing in these lines as they can be put into a subroutine, or subprogram as it is sometimes called. A subroutine, therefore, consists of several program lines making up one section of the main program which may be called upon more than once while the program is running. To use or call a subroutine the statement GOSUB, on key H, is used.
