Abstract

Series circuit. When several circuit elements are connected one after another so that there is only one possible path for current, they are said to be in series. Thus Figure 32.06 shows a battery and a resistance in series; Figure 32.07 shows a series circuit with the tube, resistance, and battery connected one after another, the circuit being completed through the ground. Figure 33.01 shows three resistors in series.
