Learning through self-study is the focus for the discussion within this chapter as it captures for me the salient aspects of ‘coming to know’ as a teacher educator. Identifying and challenging taken-for-granted assumptions about teaching and learning provided a lens for me to examine my practice. This chapter reveals the ways in which exploring assumptions has contributed to the development of my pedagogy as a teacher educator.
