Algal Toxins: Nature, Occurrence, Effect and Detection

Abstract

It was established that bioassay is convenient first test for estimation of toxicity in screening of water-bloom material and laboratory cultures or cell extracts. It is discussed the advantages and difficulties at using as bioassay the organisms from different systematic groups. It is determined lethal doses for checking of natural algae toxins activity.
