Windows Script Host (WSH) doesn’t provide any built-in database access. It relies on parts of a database strategy that Microsoft refers to as Universal Data Access (UDA). This strategy consists of three elements: Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), Object Linking and Embedding Database (OLE DB), and ActiveX Data Objects (ADO).
