Abstract
Additives for plastics are substances that are dispersed within polymeric materials in order to modify their behavior in the course of processing and to improve the properties desired of final products; this is done with minimal or no change of the polymer molecular structure. This definition excludes catalysts, initiators, cross-linking agents, and so on, which bring basic chemical changes to the polymer structure [1].
